CENTAR ZA RECIKLAŽU, limited liability company for collection, treatment and trade of metal waste in Belgrade, has been operating since 1982. It is the leading company in Serbia for collection, treatment and trade in metal waste, and for domestic and foreign trade. It operates through 14 purchase sites throughout Serbia: headquarters in Belgrade, Železnik (Tome Buše 14), Smederevo, Pančevo, Novi Sad, Kikinda, Sremska Mitrovica, Vršac, Stara Pazova, Kragujevac, Kruševac, Niš, Bor, Požega i Prijepolje.The company and all its sites hold all required permits for management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

There are currently 2,200 companies in Serbia dealing with waste collection and recycling. In comparison with 2009, when there were only 200, that has been a major growth and Centar za reciklažu is the market leader.

In addition to the recycling of metal and steel waste, Centar za reciklažu d.o.o. Beograd is also engaged in disposal, purchase, marketing and trade of waste non-ferrous metals, particularly in waste aluminium and cast aluminium alloys, as well as waste copper and alloys. Centar za reciklažu d.o.o. Belgrade deals with industrial waste, preparation and processing, as well as cutting, pressing and spinning. The unique shredder, a machine for comprehensive recycling of car shells, is located at the plant of the Center in Zeleznik.

The recycling center is one of the leaders in this field, as evidenced by a rich business portfolio, extremely good cooperation with many private and public companies, as well as  launch of numerous initiatives to improve the recycling industry.

The recycling center is involved in a national project to recycle old cars as part of the "Old for New" campaign with Fiat. The Recycling Center cooperates with the Ministry of the Interior in disposing of seized weapons, as well as in the purchase of old Parking service vehicles from Belgrade. Over the past year, in cooperation with private carriers and EU funds, Centar za reciklažu has been involved in the disposal of passenger buses. Recycling center has a constant cooperation with Elektroprivreda Srbije during the annual overhauls of power plants, NIS, TE-KO Kostolac and RTB Bor Group, as well as the domestic steelworks HBIS Group Serbia Iron & Steel d.o.o. and Metalfer Steel Mill. The recycling center has a significant role in shaping the awareness of end consumers through a number of educational activities.

C.I.O.S. GRUPA d.o.o. through RECYCLING CENTER manages REC-EE-OM d.o.o Sremska Mitrovica.

REC-EE-O d.o.o. the company for recycling electrical and electronic waste was founded in 2012 as part of the Recycling Center d.o.o. This recycling company has branches in Sremska Mitrovica and Kragujevac and currently employs 25 people. It processes about 2,000 tons of electrical and electronic waste annually, and the total processing capacity is 4,000 tons. The largest supplier of ee waste is the Recycling Center, which is also the largest buyer of scrap metal from REC-EE-O.
